Laura was awarded a DYCP grant to experiment with developing a process of nature immersion to inspire and create live performances set in nature

Nature-set performance
Set in a winter woodland walk at night-time, Laura sang Lullabies in an illuminated nightgown at Leonardslee Gardens in 2020-2021.

Devised theatre
100 Ways to Say Goodbye was a performance project with Brass Bathtub set at Tide Mills heritage site in Newhaven. Performed as part of The Tide Mills Project in September 2021, the piece involved participatory performance, live music and explored themes of loss and renewal, death, nature, ceremony and ritual.

Collaboration
In 2022 Laura collaborated with the Belgian artists MothMeister to develop characters, costumes and imagery based around connection to nature, Jungian philosophy and imagery and symbolism of The Tarot. Many of the images from this collaboration can be seen on this website.

Original composition
The Owl & The Pussycat was an adaptation of Edward Lear’s poem, staged on a lake in a beautiful botanical garden in Sussex. In 2021 Laura performed as The Owl and composed original music for the show, in collaboration with Will Hood, who performed as The Pussycat.
